So I find myself preparing for a storm in different ways.
I had the standby generator serviced and fuel oil delivered. I replenished my supply of gas at camp for the snowblower and snowmobiles. I split and stockpiled wood for the woodstove and fireplace. Beyond that–
I laid in a supply of Irish whiskey, Anchor Porter and Macanudos. I smoked a brisket and a couple of chicken breasts. I restocked the dog food.
We are ready.
